Activities
Kinsale is not just about good food and picturesque streets. There is so much more to do when you are not on the golf course or if you don’t play golf at all:
For the water enthusiasts
Sea Angling and Deep Sea fishing (blue shark) are available. Take a day out and experience the magnificent Irish coastline. Sailing, Cruising, Waterskiing, Jet Skiing, Scuba diving, River trips, Canoeing, Snorkelling, Bodyboarding and many more water-based activities are available in Kinsale and the surrounding area. There are many beaches, coves and inlets nearby for bathing and swimming.
For the explorers
Take your binoculars to the coast to see the gannets, cormorants, terns, gulls and a host of sea birds nesting on the sanctuary cliffs of the Old Head. See heron colonies, sandpipers, curlews and choughs in their natural environment.
For the energetic
Horse riding and Pony trekking can be arranged. Take guided and self-guided town and country road walks. Explore on foot or by bicycle. The Leisure Centre in Kinsale has a Gym, Sauna, Steam room and Jacuzzi.
For the adventurous
Maybe try your hand at ClayBird shooting, Archery or Falconry. You can take lessons in these activities or share the challenge, exhilaration and fun of a formal Claybird Shoot without a dead bird in sight.
For something different
Attend a Pottery workshop and hone your skills in this craft. Tasting sessions at the world famous Kinsale Brewing company are available on a regular basis. The nightly ghost tour of Kinsale is a must!
